In light of the new restrictions we have a special calendar this week bringing you a few online events from all over the world that you can enjoy from the comfort of your house, among other things.
7th December - Get in the Christmas spirit and start your Christmas shopping at Handmade in Norway's online Christmas market, which is filled with high-quality handmade products from local makers and artists. You may also check out Digitalt julemarked if you want to find some interesting gifts. On the same day if you are looking for a free old fashioned christmas market, you may visit Bærums Verk. Do not forget to smile and follow the virus prevention measures.
8th December - Filmweb, Nordisk film and Cinemove are organising Norway's biggest drive-in cinema at Tryvann! They screen old classics and new films on the big screen and broadcast the sound via FM network.
Exam stress can really bring the spirits down, so don't forget to relax by joining an online meditation event where you don't have to worry about the price, as this is a donation based class. Get introduced to methods to mitigate stress, anxiety and lack of sleep.
9th December - Have you noticed how beautiful the city looks with the christmas lights? If you have not already, maybe a walk around Aker Brygge will cheer your mood up. Very close to Aker Brygge is a beautiful 150,000 LED lights Oslo Tree which creates a vibrant computer generated interplay of colors.
Every day through advent, the classical music series Klassisk Karantene presents a digital lunch concert with great musicians. The concerts are recorded at Sentralen in Oslo. You may find more information here.
10th December - Financial planning coach and mentor, Danielle Tucker, is hosting a financial literacy workshop that will help students understand their current financial situation and future financial needs while helping them to make informed financial decisions moving forward during unprecedented times. 11th December - If you are looking for a small getaway to celebrate the end of the semester, visiting the Oscarsborg Fortress will not disappoint you. An inexpensive ferry drops you at the island and there are many things you may like to discover. You may read more here.
12th December - If Hogwarts is your favorite place to spend the holidays, join a virtual trivia session and put your Harry Potter knowledge to the test. Join deliciously magical trivia for an evening of virtual trivia about the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!
13th December - Akershus Fortress invites you to walk among spectacular, colorful lights this Sunday. The walk starts by Wergerlandseika at Festningsplassen and takes you to Karpedammen. For the first time ever, lights have been put up all along this stretch, in trees, towers and gates around the fortress. The event is free, and will be open from 6 am until 9 pm. However, to experience the lights to their fullest, it is recommended to go in the afternoon or evening. Bring your cohort or maybe even a Tinder date along and enjoy.
