Some of you might be dreading daylight savings and the cold days that are slowly but surely approaching, but you know what they say here in Norway: “Ikke dårlig vær, bare dårlig klær” (There is no bad weather, only bad clothes).

Talking about winter clothing…

There are two events organized by SiO that you might be very interested in if you need to secure your winter wardrobe for the months ahead. We know how complicated it can be to adapt to the cold days in Oslo, so we hope this might ease you into winter time like a true Norwegian.

Monthly Repair Café

The green office at UiO hosts a monthly workshop where you can learn to fix that hole in your jumper that you have been meaning to repair. All the sowing machines are free to use during opening hours, and you can get all the help you need. It is open to all, so bring your friends and make a day out of it!

When: Friday, 1 November, 12 pm
Where: Green Office, Lucy Smiths House (Blindern)

Clothing Swap

Participate in this clothing swap event at Sentralen where anything that doesn’t fit you or your style can find new owners and vice versa. It is free for all students, so remember to bring your student ID and have fun shopping in this very sustainable way. There will be free pizza and a DJ, fun!

When: Saturday, 2 November, 1 pm to 4 pm
Where: Sentralen, Marmorsalen, 1st floor (Øvre Slottsgate 3, 0157 Oslo)
