On Tuesday, Oslo woke up to the first snowfall. We went out to capture it on film.

Meteorologist Rafael Escobar Løvdahl warned us on Monday that snow was coming. «You might want to drop the white converse and your sneakers. Tomorrow they might risk having another color,» he said.

On Tuesday Oslo woke up to Løvdahl’s prediction. In the early hours of the morning, 4.6 cm of snow drifted over the capital.

But if we’re to believe the weather reports, it’s not going to stick. Tomorrow the temperatures will climb again, and the snow will melt into grey slush.

Our photographer ventured into the winter wonderland to capture it on film.
