Faculty of Dentistry moves to Gaustad
Efforts to find new clinic premises for Dentistry Faculty at the University is finally over.
– I am glad that the decision has finally been taken and that we have come to a good conclusion. The location, near the University of Oslo and Rikshospitalet, is ideal to ensure continuing dental education and research of high international standing, says Minister of Education and Research Torbjørn Røe Isaksen in a recent press release from the Ministry.
Efforts to find new premises have been ongoing since the 1990s, and the new building will gather all dental communities in Oslo. What remains now is planning the project, it’s expected to take several years before the building is ready for use, which also depends on the Parliament allocating funds to the project.
