Grants to Continue

Minister for Education Kristin Clemet rejects OECD recommendations which include the introduction of school fees and means-tested grants. This means that university funding is unlikely to rise or decrease in the near future. In addition, Clemet wishes to give BI (The Institute of Business Economics) economic terms similar to those of the universities, and raise the number of places on shorter vocational courses.

Kamil Azhar, leader of NSU (The National Students\' Union), says that his organisation will continue to lobby for more funding for universities and colleges of higher education. He points out that the money is needed in order to accomplish the prospective educational reform.
