Studies abroad for all

Commencing fall 2003, all students at the University of Oslo (UiO) obtain the right to study abroad. UiO wishes to double the number of students going out and coming in to study by 2006. The doubling is to be achieved by exchange programs and similar arrangements, as that is most economical for the University. To get more foreign students to attend UiO, more classes will be offered in English. – There should be a module taught in English in every study programme, the project group stated. Today, 50 percent of the capacity in the European exchange programs Sokrates and Nordplus remain unused.
