Joining Forces?

Publisert

16 student delegates plan to vote against the proposed union of the NSU (The Norwegian Students\' Union) and the StL (The Students\' National Association) at the NSU\'s national assembly in April, endangering the two-year old plan to unite the two organisations in a single body. Arguments against amalgamating the two organisations include concerns that the new body will be too centralised, and threaten grassroot student democracy at the various institutions of higher education. Student politicians in favour of joining the NSU and the StL point out that the two organisations have much to gain from joining forces.
