Approving Foreign Certificates
The virtual teaching space Classfronter, an interactive teaching programme that has replaced seminar teaching in History of Religion, has had abusive language concerning Jews, Muslims, and women published by students. Abusive statements have been allowed to remain on the pages for more than three weeks, accessible to over 120 students.
Many graduates from abroad have had problems with having their educational certificates approved in Norway. The national boy for quality in education, NOKUT, is now carrying out a trial study as a first step towards resolving this issue. NOKUT seeks to establish independent verifying procedures for graduates certain countries, whose educational documentation is notoriously unreliable.
