Uglebo Lost Licence

On 5 August the City Council decided to withdraw the Filologisk Forening’s (a.k.a. FF – the Student Association of Philologists) licence to sell spirits. The organization did not submit a single statement of sales from 2002 to September 2003, and failed to respond to repeated applications from the Oslo County Tax Office. Martin Vetlesen, the FF butler, says the problems are due to poor communication among the Board members. The new FF Board has now applied for a new licence to sell spirits. With luck, the organization will be provided with a new licence in two months’ time; in the worst–case–scenario the organization will be denied a licence forever.

The study analysed the career trajectory of former students who graduated between 1987 and 2001, and found that social differences were reproduced.
